Back With A Vengeance (Or Not)

Ok, so I haven't exactly been keeping up to date with my non-existent blogging schedule, but I do have excuses, I promise! Hear me out...
  1. I went to China for 10 days. I know my last post was October 12th and it's now 3rd November, but come on, jet lag is a tough one to get over...
  2. I've been applying to university. This one is definitely a legit excuse. I may have handed my UCAS application in on 1st October, but that stress is a killer! And between checking UCAS Track every 5 minutes and my school email the other, just in case one of them tells me I have an offer, it's hard to find time to blog!
  3. Homework. This just speaks for itself really... I mean, who sets their pupils TWO Geography essays to complete over half term?! Everyone else may have got 2 weeks off, but as a result of my exciting voyage to Asia I only get 1 (poor, deprived me...).
  4. I turned 18!! I think that's pretty self-explanatory too. Especially as being 18 in England is much better than 18 in America.
I think those are some reasonable excuses, don't you?

Over the next few weeks, I am going to continue being supermegabusy with extortionate amounts of homework, and all the extra reading I have to do just for the possibility of having an interview. Ugh, university, why are you so stressful?! I swear, if I could just bake a cake for the admissions people I'm sure they'd let me in, and it'd be a hell of a lot easier.

Anyway, I'm going to try and fit in some blog posts, I promise! They may be few and far between, or they may come in a sudden, energetic rush and knock you out of your seat. Then again, they may just not come at all. But regardless, I do promise to try, and that's all that counts, right?

I can promise you that there will be posts about my trip to China, and my fantabulous birthday cake which my mother got to post about before I did. How rude.

Here's a pretty picture of the Bund at night time to win you over :)

  1. Hi Phoebe...
    I just love your blog...and your mom's...hope that's OK.
As a soon to be 18-year-old in the U.S. of A., I would be interested to hear how it's different in the U.K. Just curious... Good luck with your crazy life... I know exactly how you feel.

    1. Thank you so much! ooh exciting! well there aren't exactly many differences, but the one I was hinting at was legally being able to drink, i think that's got to be quite an exciting aspect of turning 18 here in England, for you guys there's another 3 years! the best part i think is that we're able to get into pubs and stuff, so when it's freezing we don't have to loiter outside or bribe someone to let us sit in their house :)

      thank you!

  2. Love your blog and Jane's. The picture is beautiful! Hope you get the school work completed without too much stress. Whenever you blog it is alwasy nice to see what you have to say. Thanks.

    1. Thank you! I hope so too, but I don't think it's looking too likely... Haha thank you very much :)
